Announcement
We are pleased to share the program and the detailed report from our recent “Seminar on EU Integration for Ukrainian Local Communities,” held from October 28-30, 2024, at the University for Continuing Education Krems. This event was co-organized with the University for Continuing Education Krems, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, and the Center for Innovations Development, and co-funded by the Ukraine Office Austria and OeAD. The seminar fostered meaningful exchanges on EU integration, legal frameworks, project management, and funding opportunities, with participants expressing strong interest in further collaboration and specialized training.
In response to the seminar’s success and the enthusiastic feedback we received, we are reaching out to expand our network of partners.
Our key partner, the Center for Innovations Development https://cid.center/cid_eng/ , the coordinator of this initiative, is a well-known nonprofit organization with a strong background in research and education in Ukraine, with an office in Austria. Through its extensive network, the Center maintains permanent cooperation and networking with a majority of Ukrainian local communities—currently numbering 670, with potential growth to over a thousand. They have already developed and successfully implemented projects that bring positive results to these communities’ daily lives, and we are eager to continue supporting and expanding these efforts together.
We invite your institution to join us in continuing this initiative, bringing together expertise from both Ukraine and the EU to strengthen integration efforts and local community development. As a partner, you would have opportunities to contribute in several meaningful ways:
* General and Specialized Event Planning: Beyond broader EU integration topics, we also plan to organize more focused events on subjects such as EU grant acquisition, modern Urban Planning, legal regulations and standardization, and data management.
* Lecture Contributions and Venue Proposals: We encourage our partners to participate actively by sharing insights from EU experiences, proposing topics, and offering venues for future events.
* Joint Applications for Funding: We aim to apply for appropriate grants to sustain this initiative and expand its impact. We welcome collaborative proposals with partners to secure funding for educational and community development programs.
The feedback from our recent seminar highlighted a demand for continued learning on EU integration, international cooperation, and funding strategies.
We hope your institution will consider joining us to expand these opportunities and provide lasting support for Ukrainian communities in their integration journey.
Please let us know if you are interested in joining this network of partners, and feel free to reach out with any questions. We look forward to the possibility of working together to create impactful programs for the future.
Warm regards,
