About us

The East European Law Research Center (EELRC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering legal research and collaboration among individuals interested in the legal landscapes of countries that have experienced the legacy of various autocratic regimes. Our mission is to implement and protect human rights while addressing the social, scientific, cultural, educational, economic, and other interests of our members and the broader community.

EELRC aims to promote fairness and justice in Eastern Europe, with a particular focus on Ukraine. We are committed to open cooperation and engagement with various stakeholders to advance these goals and contribute to the development of a more just, equitable, and economically viable society.

We are proud to be partners with organizations that share our commitment to these values! EELRC is a voluntary association uniting scholars and practitioners with expertise in the social sciences, particularly in the fields of law and economics. Our members include recognized experts with exemplary academic backgrounds and extensive experience in project management and participation in significant research initiatives. We are equally glad to welcome young scholars who are eager to expand their knowledge and contribute fresh perspectives to our community. Membership options include both individual and institutional affiliations, each providing an opportunity to actively engage in the funding and support of the Center. We welcome both ongoing contributions and one-time donations, recognizing that every effort enriches our collective mission. As members of EELRC, individuals gain access to collaborative opportunities and the chance to play a vital role in academic research. Our community fosters an environment that enhances mutual understanding of academic integrity and promotes the growth of research in Eastern Europe, while facilitating global collaboration among experts.

Central to its mission is addressing the impacts of conflict and displacement, particularly through advancing frameworks that assess and respond to human rights violations. By integrating multidisciplinary approaches, this cluster seeks to contribute to more resilient legal systems that uphold human dignity and support effective remedies for those affected by crises.
